Thanks for the nice write up, elbow. Van Morrison has an exquisite vocal sensibility and range of emotional delivery. Maybe that’s why we like him so such; his adeptness ranks right up there with Jerry.

I had an acquaintance that in addition to being a great Jerry devotee was very much into Van – after Jerry passed he placated his grief with a headlong diversion into Van shows. He even followed Van on Europe tour and shared, along with many fine boots, this account:

Riding the Eurorail he chanced upon the opportunity to share a table with Van and they discussed songs that Jerry played – apparently Van hadn't been aware that Jerry even covered his songs!

I wish I could take credit for the write up, but I didn't do it. It was from the seed at Lossless Legs. I didn't bother posting the link because if you are not a member there you would not be able to see it and I did think it was a informative read. Sorry for the confusion.
